This Thompson Center manufactured fifth variation walnut stock is for the percussion Hawken muzzle loading rifle in 45 and 50 caliber. This stock is in very good condition having numerous light dings and handling marks but is void of any cracks or chips.  (file photos)

Warning: Fifth variation stocks have the late location patch box cut which is 1 1/4" away from the butt plate, the forward upper tang hole is designed for the longer machined screw which travels completely through the stock and attaches to the trigger guard and NOT the shorter wood screw, non-recessed lockplate bushing hole for the 3rd variation lockplate bushing, later style lockplate cut, smaller rear recess and forward mounting hole for the 3rd variation trigger guard and the tip designed for the late variation (two screw) forend cap.
